Linocut & Printing
Tuesday & Thursday - July 15th & July 17th
Class Times: 3:00-4:30 p.m.
Number of Instruction Hours: 3
Ages: 10 & Up
Registration Deadline: June 30th
For many folks, linocuts are their first introduction to block printmaking. Students use sharpened tools, called gouges, to carve a design into a block of linoleum. This block can then be inked and printed from like a stamp. Artists of all levels like this technique for the distinct, bold graphics it creates. In our first session, we’ll plan and carve our designs. In session two, we’ll learn about basic inking tools and how to make an edition of prints.
Please note this class is held on the second floor with access only by taking the stairs.
Location: ARTS HUB - First United Methodist Church Waupaca, 720 Demarest Ave, Waupaca, WI 54981
(No refunds will be offered within two weeks of the first-class date.)
